Our Beliefs

This is what we believe, live out, and share with others.

Our Beliefs

Here is where we articulate the core principles that shape our faith, guide our actions, and inspire our shared journey. Explore the foundation of our beliefs as we strive to live them out and share the transformative power with our community.

God

There is one God. He is Eternal and is the Creator of everything that exists. He exists in three distinct and eternal persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. They are co-equal and one with God. They constitute the Trinity.

Genesis 1:1-2

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

Father

God is the ruler of creation and gave man the ability to choose his eternal destiny. God wants everybody to accept his offer of salvation that is found in His son Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:4

Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Son

The Lord Jesus Christ is the perfect God/man. He lived a sinless life and gave Himself as a sacrifice for all mankind by shedding His blood and dying on the cross. His sacrifice pays for all sins -past, present, and future. After three days He came back from the dead.

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Holly Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells the believer at the moment of salvation. He also empowers and equips every believer for a life pleasing to God. The Spirit allows the believer to understand the Bible. Through the Spirit we are all made part of the body of Christ.

Acts 1:8

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

The Bible

The Bible is supernaturally inspired by God and written by men; It is the final authority in faith and in practice. Is complete and without error.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Mankind

Man was created in the image of God. Every person is born with a sinful nature, cannot save himself and is in need of a savior. This savior is Jesus Christ, who died on a cross to pay for the sins of all mankind.

Galatians 2:16

know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.

Titus 3:5

he saved us not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

Salvation

Salvation is God’s gift to man. Man cannot be made right with God except through believing in Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Salvation comes by putting our trust in the sacrifice of Jesus on a cross. God the Father provides a sin-bearer in Jesus Christ and gives man His perfection.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:21

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Eternal Security

Since God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer can be secure in His salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian.

John 10:28-29

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

1 Peter 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God though faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time

1 John 5:13

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Baptism

Baptism by immersion is a spiritual symbol of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is a public demonstration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you are saved. Baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command that demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Acts 2:41

Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Colossians 2:12

Buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him though faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

Communion

Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus Christ to remember his sacrifice for us and symbolizing the new covenant. The elements of bread and grape juice are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation. But rather a reminder of the enormous sacrifice given for the payment of our sins.

Luke 22:19-20

And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same manner, He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
