YOUR BEST GIFT EVER

FreeOn special occasions we practice giving and receiving presents. Surely you have received some from people who love you. And this is precisely the matter that I would like to share with you.

When someone gives you a gift, how much do you pay for it? Nothing, of course. Why? Because you do not buy the gift, but the person who gives it to you does. Now, what do you have to do in order to make the gift yours? Pay for it? Of course not, otherwise it would not be a gift. What you have to do is simply receive the gift. That’s all.

I ask this because you can receive the best gift ever: ETERNAL LIFE. Yes, just as you are reading it, ETERNAL LIFE is a GIFT from God and I would like to briefly explain how you can make it yours.

la BibliaThe Bible says that every human being is a sinner and imperfect "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23), and that even if our behavior was the best, it would not be good enough to take us to heaven.

The good news is that God loves the sinner, you and me, and he tells us that "God … gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). God understands that we cannot save ourselves and that is why he sent his Son into the world to die on the cross and pay the debt for your sins and mine.

When Christ sacrificed himself, "He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed" (1 Peter 2:24). This means that Christ already paid the debt we had with God. We do not pay anything because Christ paid it all. The apostle Paul tells us, "I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!".

The Bible also tells us "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Now, what do we have to do to obtain God’s forgiveness? You just need to believe and trust in what Christ did on the cross for you. Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary is the only payment enough to satisfy God’s justice.

Jesus said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life" (John 6:47). It’s only by God’s grace and mercy that we are saved and the Bible emphasizes "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Dear friend, why don’t you take a moment right now to talk to God, admit that you are a sinner, and receive Jesus as your only and sufficient Savior? The moment you do this, you will receive you best gift ever: Eternal Life.

Oracion Repeat in your heart the following prayer:

"Dear Father in heaven I want to thank you for sending your son Jesus to pay for all of my sins, mistakes, and faults. Today I understand that I cannot save myself through my own efforts due to the fact that I am a sinner and imperfect. Just the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross, can forgive all of my sins; past, present, and future. Today I receive your forgiveness and the gift of Eternal Life with a grateful heart. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.".
